Smooth Start with Chronisch Zorgnet
Chronisch ZorgNet is a dynamic quality network consisting of primary care providers. With great enthusiasm, they are committed to improving care for people with chronic diseases. Using Siilo, they actively promote the exchange of knowledge and support for their healthcare providers. All of this improves the quality of care and optimize interdisciplinary communication. Anne Verhoef, the project coordinator at Chronisch ZorgNet, tells us how Siilo was easily implemented and helps with daily communication.
Siilo for Organisations
Communication between healthcare providers is time-consuming and often comes at the expense of patient care time. “The contact between primary care providers really needed to be better and most of all: faster,” says Anne. As an organization, you don’t want to ask too much from your participants and keep the impact as low as possible when transitioning to a different communication tool. That’s when Siilo came into the picture because it was already widely used by members of Chronisch ZorgNet. “Through a survey, we found that nearly 70% of the members were already using or wanted to use Siilo. That’s how the final choice was made.” Moving communication to software with a familiar interface is also much easier than implementing a completely new product. Siilo can be seen as the secure version of WhatsApp, with access to specific healthcare features. With a single implementation, you can optimize patient care and reduce the workload for staff members.
Onboard with Siilo
Anne explains that, in addition to the free Siilo Messenger, Chronisch ZorgNet wanted to facilitate the use of Siilo by setting up a Network. A secure environment where everyone within the network can connect. This is easily done with Siilo without significant efforts from our participants or major adjustments to existing systems. The onboarding process kicked off, with what Anne calls ‘’the holy grail’’: the rollout plan. This plan provides a good overview and offers the right tools to ensure a smooth onboarding process. The communication materials have been fully adjusted to your organization to inform everyone about Siilo the right way. Now the last question is: How do you get the right people in your network?
At Chronisch ZorgNet, a connection has been established between Siilo and the organization’s system, their Active Directory. The right people are added to the network, which is constantly kept up-to-date. “An API integration was created by our IT department, which took some extra time on our end, partly because both the new website and Siilo went live at the same time. It wasn’t ideal, but definitely achievable. The implementation of Siilo actually went smoothly during another implementation,” says Anne.
We are the champions
“With Siilo, you are really guided every step of the way. However, it’s always the question of how willing the end user is to participate. Fortunately, Siilo provides step-by-step guidance, making the adoption super easy. Users know exactly what to do!” says Anne. Additionally, Chronisch ZorgNet promotes cross-communication by extensively referring to the many benefits of Siilo on its website. The web application is a valuable tool that enhances user-friendliness.
All these benefits are also explained in the so-called Champion Training. This training is provided after the rollout of Siilo to prepare everyone for using the Siilo app and to motivate you and your colleagues to use Siilo. “The webinar provided was the cherry on top. Lisa provided a Champion Training where even experienced Siilo users were surprised by the many valuable features they were unaware of. The training is still really valuable in the organisation; we often refer back to it. Siilo offers so much more than initially thought,” says Anne.

With Siilo, you always ensure the security of privacy-sensitive data. “In addition to safety, Siilo also saves a tremendous amount of time,” says Anne. The use is easy, enjoyable, and familiar to the participants. “All in all, Siilo is highly appreciated by the participants because it keeps communication optimal.”
